GoalKeepersEvery Goalkeeper at the Synergy Football Club (SFC) participates in Two Hours of Specialized Goalkeeper Training per week in addition to the SFC Team Training Sessions.
SFC Goalkeepers are trained in the most modern goalkeeping techniques and tactics used at the highest levels of football. Tremendous emphasis is placed on Technical Development as well as the Tactical, Physical and Psychological aspects of the position.
Synergy Football Club Founder and Director, Hugh Brown, conducts the Goalkeeper Training Sessions at SFC.
Hugh Brown has been developing top goalkeepers since 1996. In fact, Brown was signed as the first full-time professional goalkeeper coach for the Concorde Soccer Association (Concorde-Fire) and for the United Quest Soccer Club (renamed North Atlanta Soccer Association – NASA) in his hometown - Atlanta, Georgia.
Coach Hugh has developed some of the top goalkeepers in the country. Goalkeepers that train with Brown are routinely selected to State, Region and National Olympic Development (ODP) Teams and to NCAA Division I, II and III Collegiate Programs.
"No other player can influence a football match more than the goalkeeper. It is unfortunate that many goalkeepers do not receive specialized training with their clubs and even more unfortunate that many keepers receive bad training – this is not the case for the SFC Goalkeepers", commented SFC Director Hugh Brown.
"The SFC Goalkeeper Training Program is cutting edge – everything we do is designed to produce technically superior goalkeepers with tough minded attitudes and sharp tactical awareness. The goalkeeper must be a leader, a director, an effective communicator and a player that is respected and trusted by teammates. At SFC our Goalkeepers "Earn the Right to Play well" by training exceptionally hard each week throughout the year!"
